This unit explain the use of modeling techniques, programming and simulation of complex processes has resulted in all types of industry nowadays in discrete processes, continuous or hybrid in different areas of industrial technologies type. Some of the strongest topics in the industry today is the research on complex systems such as modeling, programming, simulation, fault diagnosis, intelligent control and process standardization, which impacts on a need to know some of the techniques used to solve these problems in the current industry.

This unit aims to identify the basic principles of energy issues at the global and local level, likewise the different processes of energy generation in the residential, commercial, industrial, and public transport. Also, this unit present economic, political, geographical, social and environmental aspects of national and global energy resources.
